Hi,

I have a new ADI with internal gps. The baud rate of the gps output appears to be 4800. In order to make it compatible with my other gps system (KMD150) I need to reset the ADI gps output to 9600. I see from the info that you (Lucas) sent me that the ADI internal gps can be reset to output 9600 baud. Since there is no way that I can see to do this without opening the unit, do I need to send the ADI back to you to make this program change?

Thanks,
Jim Ellis

Jim,

We're looking into this now. As a rule, we test the output of the internal GPS to make sure it acquires and outputs the correct data. Beyond that, we don't do anything with them. It can be reset, but the ADI would have to be partially dis***embled and the GPS unit removed. I'll get back to you on the possibility of getting this done. Thanks!

Hi Lucas,

I don't want to be a pest, but did you find out whether I can ship my ADI back to have the internal GPS reprogramed to send out data at 9600 baud?

Thanks,
Jim Ellis

You're not being a pest at all! We can do this, but there will be a $50 fee as we'll have to completely dis***emble the unit to get to the GPS. Let me know what you'd like to do. Thanks!
