One difference I have noted with the EFIS AP verses other models is the lack of a torque setting for the servos. I presume its at max (12). If that is the case, I have an installation that either needs converting to capstan or addition of a torque enhancer. We already have the heavy duty servo, can we add a torque enhancer? Let me know, we my have to do something for this aircraft soon.
Thanks,
Carl

Hi Carl,
You are correct. The EFIS AP units are set at the maximum torque setting. If you have a High Torque servo already, we can't add a torque enhancer to it. We can add a capstan. We can also have you send the servo back to have the clutch setting increased to 100 in lb from 60 in lb. Let me know what you'd like to do. Thanks!

I have a spare hi-torque servo, I would like to send it back to you and up the clutch torque to 100 in/lbs. That may help in a couple of installations here. Can you provide me a return number?
Thanks

Just curious, what kind of airplane are you flying for which the servo lacks sufficient torque?

Carl works on Comp Airs a lot. I'm not sure which model this particular one is though.

The EFIS autopilot installation is in a Compair 8 on floats. I am also 'fine tuning' a Sorcerer installation in a Compair 9.
One heavy duty servo on way to you today.
Thanks,
Carl
