Just the other day I flew a long cross country and put the AFS Pilot to good use. I did have something strange happen about 5 times during the flight. The AFS pilot would just drop out of EFIS/GPSV mode and into track mode. Pushing the EFIS button on the AFS pilot would put it right back into EFIS/GPSV mode. I didn't notice anything in particular happening that was triggering this. Any ideas what would cause this behavior?

Check the speed setting on the ARINC output of the EFIS. I'm not sure if there is a speed adjustment on it like there is on Garmin GPS units, but the AP will need it set to LOW.

AFS confirmed the problem and now has a new version of their ARINC software with a fix.
