Default Altitude Hold

I just got back from a long cross country (literally all the way across the country) and I notice that I can vertical speed the airplane to the exact altitude I want, (say 15,000') and when I select Altitude Hold, it will either climb or descend away from the level flight altitude and hold maybe 40 or 50 feet high or low, (but not all the time, it depends on what the altimeter setting is). I think I have figured out why. In the manual for the Sorcerer, it mentions that in Altitude Hold, it will climb or descend to the nearest 100 foot interval and hold the altitude. I have an AP-100 which does not have an input for altimeter setting. I'm thinking that even though it does not display an altimeter setting, it's really in there, and someone set it to, say 29.92 before it left the factory. In fact, the closer the local altimeter was to 29.92, the closer it would hold the altitude to an even 100 foot interval, when changing over from 0 SVS to Alt Hold. O.K. I know I'm picking the rat **** out of the rice here, but, stay with me for just a minute; is there any way to trick the AP-100 into holding the altitude spot on, not 10 or 20 feet high or low?

Second Question: Will there be any screaming deals on upgrades offered at Oshkosh this year?

Dane,

At this time the AP100 does go to the nearest 100 ft interval. This will be remedied in the next software release for that line of products. So hold on, we'll get you taken care of!

To my knowledge there are no special deals for the AirVenture show this year. But if you're there, keep an eye open for something you haven't seen yet.

The problem is now fixed. I upgraded my AP-100 to a full blown Sorcerer and it now captures and holds the assigned altitude. Thanks to the new upgrade price it didn't cost me an arm and a leg either. Thanks Trutrak.
